ANZAC DAY
25 April
Plympton Glenelg RSL personnel facilitated ANZAC Day Dawn Services at three sites including Glenelg, Edwardstown and the RSL on Marion Road on 25 April 2025.
Each event was well attended and respectfully commemorated the 110-year anniversary of the landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps troops at Gallipoli, Turkey.
Remembrance Day
11 November
A moving service at Glenelg’s Anzac Memorial in Moseley Square was held at 11am on 11 November 2024 to commemorate Remembrance Day, which marks the moment the Armistice was signed in 1918, signifying the end of WWI.
The service was organised by the RSL with support from Council, with Deputy Mayor Susan Lonie among those who laid wreaths at the memorial.
